The restroom on the north side of the 1st floor at Nakano Broadway is currently unavailable

While walking through Nakano Broadway, I glanced over and noticed the back of the passageway was dark. The lighting in Nakano Broadway’s passageway was dimmed? Intrigued, I decided to walk down that way.

As I walked further, I understood why. At the corner of the first floor, the lighting had been turned off because renovation work was underway.

The first-floor restroom was under renovation. The entrance was blocked off with blue tarps, making it inaccessible. A notice was posted on the blue tarps explaining that construction was underway and entry was prohibited.

Around the corner, there was an announcement. Safety first—it’s important.

However, there was no notice regarding the construction period or completion date. It’s unclear how long it will last, but for the time being, the restroom on the Waseda-dori (North) side of the 1st floor at Nakano Broadway appears to be unavailable.

Inside the building, you can walk comfortably even when it rains or snows. It was strange that the passageway in Nakano Broadway was dimly lit and dark, but I got to see an unexpected sight.

This information is current as of November 7, 2025. The date the restroom will become available is unknown.
Caution is advised when visiting Nakano Broadway.
